Lasso is an upcoming horror film from director Evan Cecil ("Love Kills") and production company Dragon Fly Films. Set to show at London's Frightfest this year, the film involves a senior citizens' tour of a nearby rodeo. Though, this is no ordinary rodeo. The film's official release trailer shows Kit and Simon, in the rodeo ring and part of the main attraction. As well, Epic Pictures has just released the official poster for the film - found here. And, Lasso centrally stars: Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints), Lindsey Morgan ("The 100"), Andrew Jacobs (Paranormal Activity) and Karen Grassle. The official synopsis mentions some of this flick's many protagonists. Kit (Morgan) and Simon (Jacobs) will team up with: a one armed cowboy named Ennis (Flanery), Rosheen (Heather Mignon) the Rodeo Queen and Trish - a powerhouse bull rider. All of these characters will face a ring full of evil cowboys and cattle rustlers, in the middle of nowhere.
The United Kingdom premiere, of Lasso, begins this August. In the United States, horror film fans will have lots of opportunities to see the film on home entertainment platforms. More release details will be coming this way, closer to the wide November release. For now, viewers can saddle up for one of the more interesting, indie films - right here!
