Exceptional Sci-fi Thriller Annihilation is Touching Down on Blu-ray this May

Alex Garland's (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later) Annihilation is moving to home entertainment platforms, again. This sci-fi thriller was released in theatres in February. The film has already been reviewed, on 28DLA, here: Annihilation or Enlightment? on 28DLA. Shortly after the theatrical launch, Annihilation moved to Netflix, in March, via several countries: United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Germany and many more territories. In May, this exciting feature will show on Digital platforms, plus DVD and Blu-ray formats. The film stars: Natalie Portman (Black Swan, 2010), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Existenz, 1999), Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny, and Oscar Isaac. The film's story involves a meteor strike and the subsequent Shimmer. A strange wall is covering part of the United States. It is altering the animals and fauna, within its sphere. When a exploratory team goes missing, another one is sent in to find them, while analyzing the alien material. This material changes all of the characters into something super-human?

Annihilation will have several special features. Broken into three parts, the behind-the-scenes videos include: "Refractions" (Alex Garland's process to choose tones and settings), "Shimmer" (transforming set locations), "Vanished into Havoc" (stunts and special effects) and many more.
