Vietnamese Horror Thriller The Housemaid Rebirths a Ghost Baby in this Preview (Out Feb. 19th)

The Housemaid is a horror film from director Derek Nguyen. Shot in Vietnam, this title will release, in the United Kingdom, early next year. The film's story involves an orphaned girl (Kate Nhung) and a rubber plantation owner. The ghost of the owner's wife still haunts the land. And, she is jealous of Sebastien's (Jean-Michel Richaud) new love interest. Also titled Cô Haû Gaí, this film will be released in a Blu-ray, DVD combo pack. The trailer is a moody reveal. It shows the settings: 1953 and the plantation. Linh does not know what she has gotten into, once she crosses the threshold. There is a ghost baby and bloodied sheets to be changed. The ominous music is sure to unsettle horror fans. And, this ghostly love triangle will have its consequences.

The Housemaid has been shot in Vietnamese. English subtitles will be available on the disc. At over 105 minutes long, the film has been rated "15," in the UK. Eureka Entertainment Limited will launch the film on February 19th, 2018. This is the date to gaze upon this haunted French estate.
