Day of the Dead: Bloodline Opens the Gates of Hell in this Red Band Trailer

Is it a remake? A sequel? A re-telling? Day of the Dead: Bloodline takes some plot lines from George A. Romero's original Day of the Dead (1985). Then, it takes it further and onto the streets. This latest film in the "Dead" universe was shot in Bulgaria. Directed by Hector Hernandez Vicens, this title is slated for a release, in theatres and through Video-on-demand, this January. The film's Red Band trailer and most recent poster are hosted here.

The film's trailer shows some pivotal moments from the 1985 film. A familiar zombie returns (Bub). Survivors of an apocalypse take refuge below ground. Above ground, it is an undead nightmare. Once the zombies come below, the gates of Hell are opened.

Saban Films will distribute Day of the Dead: Bloodline, in the United States. On January 5th, the film will show in select theatres and on VOD. Fans of the zombie horror sub-genre can find the latest details, on Day of the Dead: Bloodline, below.
