The Midnight Man Plays a Game with Characters' Lives in this Trailer

The Midnight Man is a remake of a 2013 film. The original was shot within Ireland. This latest version was shot in Canada. As well, the remake was released in Canada, in 2016? Though, this horror fan never heard a peep on this earlier release. IFC Films will show the film, via Video-on-demand, in early 2018. This latest release will take place across the United States. The Midnight Man stars Robert Englund and Lin Shaye. A trailer has just been released for the U.S. showing and it can be found here, along with a European poster (possibly Ukrainian).

The film's story involves a game. But, children should not play this version. Once the game is started, the Midnight Man will appear and he promises to make the characters' worst nightmares come true. Now, a doctor hopes to end this fatalistic game, before everyone disappears into the void.

The trailer shows some of the rituals, from the game and some of the rules. Many of the participants break the rules, leading to a bloody spectacle or two. And, this indie horror feature looks to put a twist on the Ouija board horror phenomenon. More details, on The Midnight Man, are hosted below. And, the film's U.S. release will take place this January 19th, in an unrated version.
