Rob Willey's Dark Cove is camping in the United Kingdom and Ireland, this week. The film, completed in 2015, has gone worldwide in late May. Filmed on British Columbia's rugged "Wet Coast," the film involves five friends, a camping trip, hallucinogenic mushrooms and a confrontation with two, aggressive, Australian surfers. This is the first time the film has been made available outside of North America. Now, it is being hosted on several digital platforms, throughout the territories mentioned above. A preview of the film's international launch is hosted here.

This indie horror fan was at the World Premiere, for Dark Cove. The film's story begins simple enough as five friends head out for a day of sun and surf. Out on the beaches, they encounter two surfers. Together, all seven begin to party into the wee hours of the night, until events take a dark turn. One character, whose reality has been changed, takes things too far, leading to a night of murder.

Dark Cove was shot for a small budget and by a group of friends and professionals. The film shows some of British Columbia's beautiful locales, while offering a disturbing tale. The film is for fans of indie titles, with more release details below.
