Domain Tests the Limits of Isolation at Other Worlds Austin

Tagline: "No Exit.'

Sci-fi news and review site QuietEarth.us has posted a trailer for Nathaniel Atcheson's Domain. The film is a blend of sci-fi and horror as a virus forces survivors below ground. Except, in a series of bunkers, something even more sinister has been released amongst the inhabitants. Domain is set for a showing at Other Worlds Austin, in early December. As well, an official trailer for the film has been released and film fans can find it here.

For more on the story, a virus has wiped out much of humanity. Survivors wait, alone, below ground, in a series of bunkers. The inhabitants communicate through a video intercom-like system. But soon, people begin to crack under the pressure of isolation.

The film is slightly reminiscent of others. Though, the tone of Domain is darker than most. Matt Osterman's slightly average 400 Days (2015) dealt with a group of scientists living below ground. Unable to communicate with those above, they are slowly infiltrated by a strange, alternate reality. John Huddle's After the Dark (2013) also took place in an underground bunker. The participants are challenged by philosophical scenarios, which often became deadly. Still, Domain leans more into horror territory, than these two films. Characters are at the end of the rope, in this outing. Fans of science fiction and/or horror are encouraged to see this film, once released, this December!

Release date: December, TBA (Limited Theatrical).

Director/writer: Nathaniel Atcheson.

Cast: Britt Lower, Ryan Merriman, William Gregory Lee and Kevin Sizemore.
