Your Journey to Hell Begins with this Trailer for The Lazarus Effect

David Gelb's The Lazarus Effect has an exciting trailer. The clip shows several university students experimenting with a cure for death. The film is reminiscent of another: 1990's Flatliners. Both films deal with a journey into the afterlife and a return to the living. As well, characters are changed, after their journey, in both films. In this update, Mark Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed), Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy), Donald Glover, Evan Peters and Sarah Bolger star in the title. The full trailer is hosted here.

The clip shows Zoe (Wilde) in a strange state. She has died. But she has returned from Hell! Now, she is annoyed and ready to kill anyone and everyone who gets in her way!

This film, previously titled Reawakening, will release February 27th, 2015. The release will take place in theatres, thanks to Blumhouse Productions, Lionsgate and Relativity Media. Blumhouse continues to produce low budget indie titles, after the enormous success of films like: Sinister, Paranormal Activity and others.
