A Tale of Fatherly Love and the Undead with Lionsgate's Maggie

Lionsgate Entertainment has acquired distribution rights for the zombie thriller Maggie. This film was expected to premiere at the Toronto Int. Film Festival. However, this premiere date will be delayed. Instead, Maggie will be released later in 2015. This film, which is officially complete, involves a zombie virus, which infects a young woman; her father is powerless to save her. Fans will recognize several of the cast from the film, including Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator), Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), Joely Richardson (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) and Laura Cayouette. A few more details on the film are below.

Maggie is an emotional tale of family ties. A worldwide virus is reducing the populace to man-eating flesheaters. Also, a father's love is tested when his daughter becomes ill and Wade (Schwarzenegger) must decide if he can watch Maggie (Breslin) devolve into something less than human.

A trailer is expected soon as Maggie reaches its 2015 release date. For now, envision Schwarzenegger twisting the undead into pulpy bits. More info' on the film will be posted as it becomes available.
