The Blood Moon Comes Out at Cannes: Early Stills

Tagline: "When it's red, you're dead."

Blood Moon is a film from director Jeremy Wooding and writer Alan Wightman. Wightman developed this feature from a short film, of the same name. Blood Moon is currently in Cannes; here, the film had its World Premiere. Now, a concept poster and several stills are available for this horror, western feature. All of the available promotional material for the film is hosted here.

The story begins in Colorado. The year is 1887 and several stagecoach robbers find themselves hounded by a wild beast. Passengers of a nearby stagecoach must also deal with this murderous creature, which only comes out during the blood red moon (to feed)!

The film stars George Blagden (After the Dark), Ian Whyte (Prometheus) and Anna Skellern. These actors can be seen in three early stills, which are shown below. The movie stills show characters stalked by a sharp taloned monster. Gunslingers are displayed in other stills. As well, Blood Moon is complete and a trailer will be coming this way soon.
