Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones is the Latest Demonic Possession Thriller from Paramount Pictures

The writer of Paranormal Activity 2, 3 and 4, Christopher Landon, gets behind the camera, for the first time, in the film Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. This latest film is not a sequel the the others, nor a prequel. Instead, this title is billed as a spin-off of the others films. Set in Oxnard, California, this latest Paranormal Activity film now has a trailer, courtesy of Paramount Pictures.

This longish trailer shows several friends caught up in demonic possession. Hector (Jorge Diaz) is the target of the possession and he soon begins to show supernatural powers, which are used against the many cholos (latino males) in his town.

This year is the first one not to have a Paranormal Activity film launch in October. Paranormal Activity 5 is slated for an October 24th, 2014 launch, however. So, this film is likely an attempt to quench the thirst of fans of the series, unless they had their fill from the abysmal Paranormal Activity 4. More details on Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, including the trailer, are below.

Release Date: January 3, 2014 (Theatrical).

Director/writer: Christopher Landon.

Cast: Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, David Fernandez Jr., Jorge Diaz and Kimberly Ables.

The trailer for the film is here:
