Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, Frankenstein, will be reborn this September. Richard Raaphorst has developed this novel and its characters, under the title Frankenstein's Army. Dark Sky Films will release this title and a few of the film's release details have been announced.

Frankenstein's Army will release September 10th, 2013 on DVD and Blu-ray. The film will host several extra features including: cast and crew interviews, five spotlights on the creatures from the film and an extensive behind-the-scenes featurette. For those unfamiliar, Frankenstein's Army is set during World War II. A group of Russian soldiers find themselves lost behind enemy lines, in the dying days of the war. Tasked with completing a propaganda film, this Russian squadron films much of their experience through handheld cameras. And, what they have shot is truly horrifying. Bizarre NAZI experiments are being developed by a crazed scientist, who utilizes human body parts and circuitry. And now, the scientists wants to use the squaddies' body parts for his own devious designs.
