Zombie Plantation Announces Cast and Filming to Start This Spring

Director: Sonny Marler.

Writer: Sean Huze.

Cast: Jake McLaughlin, and Peter Jason.

An all-star cast will embrace the dangers of living near a Zombie Plantation. This movie will star Jake McLaughlin (Savages, In the Valley of Elah), Sean Huze (The Next Three Days, Green Zone), and Gerald Webb (Air Collision, Battle of Los Angeles). They respectively play the good-guys: Mike Stone, a sheriff of Stone Compound; Andy, the sheriff’s deputy, and Lee, an ill-tempered family man.

More than a quarter of a century has passed since humanity lost its war against the undead. A make shift safe-haven for survivors is created and that is known as the Stone Compound. This growing community was never meant to be permanent, and is on the verge of collapse. Resources are low and for the first time in over two decades, this group has to leave the confines if they are to replenish their supplies. Mike Stone (McLaughlin) leads a team of scavengers that includes Lee (Webb) and Andy (Huze).

But when they unknowingly trespass on the property of Curtis Strong (Peter Jason, "Deadwood" and the "Gears of War" videogames), the plantation boss of Rosewood, what Stone discovers is not for everyone. Apparently, Strong has embraced the new world. The residents of Rosewood are his slaves. Anyone who countermands him is fodder for the zombies lurking nearby. They were once families and friends of the residents.

But the Rosewood plantation has its own granary problems. Through fear, torture and manipulation, Strong tries to find out the location of Stone Compound from Mike. Can Stone do what is necessary to save his people from becoming the next lot of slaves or joining the ranks of the undead?

The first concept poster may tell. The reds and blacks symbolize blood and death. Will the undead rule the day or does the Rosewood Plantation contain some darker secret? Every step forward could be the last for Mike, his son, the families of Stone Compound, and maybe all of mankind.
