Psychoville and Todd and the Book of Pure Evil Start FEARnet's Twisted Comedy Hour Aug. 2nd!

FEARnet's Twisted Comedy Hour is set to premiere Tues, August 2nd, and this broadcast could not be any better. Todd and the Book of Pure Evil will be supplemented with similar kinds of extras and editorial content that was featured during its Canadian run, on Space: The Imagination Station and Psychoville will have bonus show material to bring over new fans.

Both products premiered in the past year(s) in its native country to a great fan reception. They have even garnered nods in industry magazines like Fangoria and Rue Morgue. Psychoville also earned the prestigious British Comedy Award. Just when Tues evenings may begin to look boring, horror-comedy hopes to liven things up.

From FEARnet.com's press release:

“Todd & The Book of Pure Evil” (Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST)

This supernatural comedy starring Alex House, Maggie Castle, Bill Turnbull, Melanie Leishman and Chris Leavins, and featuring Jason Mewes (Mallrats, Clerks) tells the story of a small-town high school kid trying to save the world. In each episode, Todd (House) and his cohorts are pitted against the dark powers of a mysterious book that grants seemingly innocuous wishes with sinister, unexpected, cataclysmic, and downright satanic side effects.

“Psychoville” (Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. EST)

This award-winning British black-comedy thriller series centers on a group of characters haunted by a mysterious blackmailer. Written by and starring Reece Shearsmith (Shaun of the Dead) and Steve Pemberton (The League of Gentlemen, Doctor Who), “Psychoville” is the only comedy ever to feature a serial-killer obsessed man-child, a one-handed clown, a blind tycoon, and a possibly telekinetic dwarf.
