Kantz Sells His Post Apocalypse Vision - Wasteland to Cinema Epoch (DVD Preview)

Wasteland is a film from director Kantz, which is reminiscent of the '80s post apocalyptic films of old. In the '80s there seemed to be this focus on a destroyed and dangerous landscapes as seen in films like
Mad Max 2 , Bronx Warriors, Escape from New York and many others. Several films dealt with societal fears of imminent nuclear annihilation e.g. Quiet Earth, Def Con 4. However, trends change.

With Wasteland, global catastrophes come about through environmental hazards e.g. pollutants, overpopulation. In this devolving landscape "religious zealots" fight against a group of cannibals and mutants for survival. Pollution are the cause of mutations and societal collapse "chemicals pumped into the environment have caused the ecosystem to fail and collapse." Full of action and adventure, between a desperate hero and the end of the world, Wasteland will be released by Cinema Epoch on DVD October 11th. Possible DVD artwork is listed below and while fears have changed across time periods, there seems to be this continuing fascination on culture dealing with a possible global collapse. Try not to fret, while enjoying this preview of Kantz' latest below.
