Tucker & Dale vs Evil: Director Eli Craig Talks Sequel?

When dollars talk, sequels will no doubt happen. But this time around, director Eli Craig is forging ahead in continuing the misadventures of Tucker and Dale, even though the first film's broad spectrum launch has not happened.

The much anticipated Tucker & Dale vs Evil will hit VOD at the end of August, a limited theatrical run in September, and perhaps seeing the good ol’ boys going to Yale University since the season is ripe. No firm dates have been set for filming or when it'll release, but apparently everyone loves hillbillies!

According to Eli Craig in an interview at Killer Film, the duo will go to school and all the college kids think they're killers.

The formula will no doubt stay the same, and the big question that has to be asked for those who have seen the original during its film festival run is: what happened to Ally? Is there going to be any continuity between the first film and second? And do audiences really need to see more adolescent shenanigans?

The script hasn't been written yet, but let's hope Craig isn't simply trying to milk the cash cow. Sometimes once is enough.
