Terror Comes from Above and Below in this Trailer for Battleship

This is one of the first films, that his reviewer is aware of, that is based on a board game. What is next - Chess, Checkers? Unbelievably, Battleship has a budget, so far, of $200 million dollars. That is a big investment for a film based on such a small concept. Much of the financing must have been spent on the cast, which includes the excellent: Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna and many others.

Now, the first trailer has debuted, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. In the clip, a watery object is found to be something extraterrestrial . This ship sends off a signal into space, while threatening local US Navy personnel. Have a look the reel yourself and try not to laugh as you think: you sunk my battleship!

"Battleship is an epic action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force" (Yahoo).

Release Date: May 18th, 2012 (Theatres).
