Supernatural Season 6: DVD/Blu-ray Release and Disc Details

The sixth season of the Winchester Brothers journey will be released Sept 13, 2011 to DVD and Blu-ray. Just when audiences thought the series ended with Sam (Jared Padalecki) permanently trapped in a cage in Hell with Lucifer and Michael, he returns to terra firma. Dean (Jensen Ackles), who's finally building a life of his own, gets his turn in having his world turned upside down. Sam is without a soul. With the help from various powerful entities, the two will have to try to reclaim it in this five disc, 22 episode series run.

This release contains over three and a half hours of bonus content including featurettes, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and two bonus episodes from "Supernatural: The Anime Series." This animated universe is due for release for July 26, 2011 and by the time viewers finish with this animated series, the live-action version will bring viewers back up to speed before season seven airs Sept 23, 2011.

Blu-ray owners will have access to a free digital copy of all 22 episodes and two extra features – "A Hunter's Guide to Season 6" and a pop-up trivia track on "The French Mistake."
