The Knights of Badassdom Break Out the One-Liners and Thrills in this First Trailer

The horror comedy Knights of Badassdom has a new trailer, which was recently released at the San Diego Comic Con. The film stars Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage, and Summer Glau, in a film set in the LARP universe. Of course, LARP stands for Live Action Role Playing and the film looks like a page out of medieval times.

In the clip, a LARP showdown turns dangerous when Eric (Zahn) releases a succubus during his make believe spellcasting. Then friends die and Eric must make right that which is truly evil and wrong. Have a look at the clip inside, with Knights of Badassdom likely to release later in 2011.

The synopsis for Knights of Badassdom is below:

"In this comedic fantasy adventure, Joe (Ryan Kwanten) is a heavy metal rocker who's just gone through a painful breakup with his girlfriend, Beth (Margarita Levieva). His concerned roommates (Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage) kidnap him to their LARP (Live Action Role Playing) gathering, where he enters a realm of fantasy escapism. Here, he and others pretend to be knights, elves, and barbarians, who clash with foam weaponry on a mock battlefield. When Joe's "sorcerer" roommate (Zahn) inadvertently summons a deadly succubus that takes Beth's seductive form, bloody reality crashes down upon their fantasy world. Once LARPers start to turn up dead, the make-believe wizards and warriors must join forces with other adventurers (Summer Glau, Danny Pudi) to become the real life heroes they have been pretending to be and conquer this unleashed evil" (Knights).
