Goblin is Like a Red-headed Step Child on DVD July 26th

Maple Pictures will release the Goblin on DVD July 26th. This feature originally showed on the SyFy network in 2010. Since then, Goblin has been called: "nothing fantastical" and "nothing frightening" (DVD Verdict). However, some fans might enjoy a story of a deformed child, curses and a whining step-child (DVD Verdict). You get your chance to throw a "deformed child into the inferno" (Maple) in just a couple weeks and the DVD artwork for Goblin is posted left.

The synopsis for Goblin is here:

"In 1831, on the eve of Halloween, the villagers of Hollow Glen engage in an annual festival where they toss their diseased crops into a blazing fire, in hopes of blessing them with an abundant field for the next year. But when one couple takes the ritual too far and throws their sickly, deformed child into the inferno, their murderous action results in something far more horrific than they could have imagined. Out of the ashes and smoke rises something so evil, so monstrous, that the town is forever cursed. This creature is known as The Goblin!…and he waits for the moments when he can seek his revenge!" (Maple).

Release Date: July 26th, 2011 (DVD).

Director: Jeffery Scott Lando.

Writer: Raul Inglis.

Cast: Gil Bellows, Tracy Spiridakos and Camille Sullivan.
