Is that a scantily clad Brooke Hogan in this first poster for Sand Sharks? The answer is probably yes, as Sand Sharks takes a page out of Piranha 3D's playbook. This graphic looks eerily similar to this earlier film and how sharks travel through sand is up to horror fans' imaginations. Take a peek at this early tease, with American World Pictures set to sell this creature feature domestically and abroad.
The synopsis for Sand Sharks:
"An underwater earthquake cracks open a crater deep beneath the ocean’s surface unleashing a prehistoric predator. On the sleepy island of White Sands, local teens drink and party beside a beach bonfire. One of them wanders off after a pretty girl and disappears, leaving only a severed hand behind. It appears it’s been bitten and ripped off by a vicious animal. This looks like a shark bite, but it’s found well above the high tide line, it can’t be a shark… Or can it?" (Film).
Completion Year: 2011.
Director: Mark Atkins.
Cast: Corin Nemec, Brooke Hogan, Vanessa Evigan, Eric Scott Woods, and Gina Holden.
*the film is currently in post-production.
