The First Grindhouse Styled Trailer for Ryan Nicholson's Famine is Here! Beware!

Production crews New Image Entertainment and Plotdigger Films are releasing the first trailer for Ryan Nicholson's Famine. Nicholson and Plotdigger Films are both Vancouver, British Columbia based. Here, they specialize in over-the-top horror productions such as Gutterballs, Hanger and Bleading Lady. Their films are full of shocking material, eye gouging plot developments, and buckets of blood.

Famine is the latest horror production to come from Nicholson and company. This feature promises "a colourful kill-a-minute gorefest" (Plotdigger). The mature trailer backs up this statement, as a high school population is turned into nymphomaniacs and punctured blood letters. Have a watch of the bodily destruction unfold in the one and a half minute reel below.

Tagline:

"Get nailed in late 2011!"

The film's synopsis:

"Two years after a high-school prank involving flesh-eating acid nearly kills popular teacher Mr. Balszack, the graduating class of Sloppy Secondary holds a '24-Hour Famine' charity event on school grounds. But there is an uninvited guest at this event, masquerading as the school's handyman mascot. He has got an insatiable hunger of his own.

The power's cut, the doors and windows are chained shut, and now it is not just cheerleaders who are getting nailed! Has Mr. Balszack come back for revenge? Is his sad tale just a cover for a brand-new psycho? Can the Nailer be stopped before the whole Class of 2011 is buried six feet under?" (Plotdigger).

Release Date: 2011 (DVD).

Director: Ryan Nicholson.

Writer: Jeff O'Brien.

Cast: Beth Cantor, Christopher Patrick Donoghue, Nathan Durec, Dustin Elkins and Karyn Halpin.
