Two Horror Releases for December 28th: And Soon the Darkness and Resident Evil: Afterlife

Christmas comes to an end and a New Year of darkness beckons. In this horrifying upcoming season two notable films will be made available; they include Anchor Bay Entertainment's And Soon the Darkness and Resident Evil: Afterlife from Sony Pictures. The former film involves kidnapping, extortion and murder in a beautiful locale, while the second shows fans the coming reality of a zombie apocalypse. And Soon the Darkness

The synopsis for And Soon the Darkness:

"Ellie (Amber Heard) and Stephanie (Odette Yustman), early 20s, have left their cycling tour group to go it alone around Argentina, looking for breathtaking scenery, adventure, fun - in Ellie's case - and closure from love gone wrong in Stephanie's. In the small town of Alemana, dangers seems to close in on the girls but Ellie only has eyes for moody bad boy Chucho. Next day, after they miss the bus back to civilization, Ellie and Stephanie fight and go their separate ways; then Ellie disappears. Stephanie must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized" (UHM).

The synopsis for Resident Evil: Afterlife here:

"In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Milla Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead - and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap" (Resident).
