Indie Horror Preview: Jen and Sylvia Soska Dissect the Vain in this Trailer for American Mary

This is an early look at an upcoming horror film from the Vancouver based Soska sisters (Jen, Sylvia) called American Mary. This independent film will release through Twisted Twins Productions and the trailer shows the sloppy work of one demented plastic surgeon. Apparently, nipples are not needed by some clients.

The first trailer below is obviously not work safe, or appropriate for anyone other than an adult. However, those feeling fortified enough can check out the grisly clip below, along with the film's early poster work courtesy of Dread Central. All the horrifying details are below.

The film's synopsis:

"American Mary is the story of a medical student named Mary who is growing increasingly broke and disenchanted with medical school and the established doctors she once idolized. The allure of easy money sends a desperate Mary through the messy world of underground surgeries, which leaves more marks on her than the so-called freakish clientele" (Dread).

Directors/writers: Jen and Sylvia Soska.

Producer: CJ Wallis.

Cast: Paula Lindbert.

The film's title could be an allusion to the Catholic Mary I of England, who notoriously killed 300 religious dissenters. Her life has been relived throughout film, as seen below:
