Anchor Bay Announces March 1st DVD Release Date for Vampire Revenge Thriller The Bleeding

The last time the vampire thriller The Bleeding was covered on this site was back in October of last year (2009). The film had a limited release close to this date and now the film is moving towards a DVD release of March 1st, 2011. The film is stock full of actors you have likely heard of, or are trying hard to forget.

Starring in this Anchor Bay Entertainment release is Vinnie Jones (Snatch), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Armand Assante (American Gangster), rap star DMX and UFC announcer Rachelle Leah. And you know that if you put this many egos in the same film, that there is going to be a s&%^ show. The trailer posted (here) echoes this idea, as explosions pour forth from the road to hell. The synopsis for the film is here:

"Shawn Black (Michael Matthias) knows pain. His parents and brother were killed in front of him. Beaten, bloodied and left for dead by a gang of ruthless vampires led by the charismatic Cain (Jones) and his lethal lieutenant Vanya (Kat Von D). But like his would-be murderers, Shawn has come back from the brink of death to take his revenge. He soon comes upon Reverend Roy (Madsen), who reveals to Shawn his calling as a slayer, the only human capable of truly destroying vampires" (Anchor Bay)
