Director Xavier Gen's has a new poster for the futuristic film The Divide. Gens is a French born director, who is arguably most famous for his 2007 horror project Frontier(s). In the poster, a mushroom cloud can be seen reflected in a gas mask, or respirator. The Statue of Liberty is likely shown in the right of the poster, as one anonymous character looks on, with bloodied nose. The poster promises: "to survive the end of the world you must first survive each other." This tagline hints at the survivor's dwindling food resources and their inability to venture outside for more (nuclear fallout). A teaser trailer has been reposted inside, for those interested in the project.

The film's synopsis:

"When a cataclysmic explosion devastates New York, eight strangers take refuge in the basement of their apartment building, a converted fallout shelter designed by their paranoid superintendent Mickey. With just three connecting rooms it’s barely big enough, but with stockpiles of food and water, the group are at least safe from the horrors outside, and they settle in and attempt to fathom the catastrophe that has ended the lives of so many of their loved ones."

Release Date: 2011.

Director: Xavier Gens.

Writer: Karl Mueller and Eron Sheean.

Cast: Lauren German, Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia, Courtney B. Vance, Ashton Holmes, and Rosanna Arquette.
