M. Night Shyamalan's Devil is Sharpening Pitchforks for a Release on DVD and Blu-Ray December 28th

Ryan Rot over at Shock Till You Drop has a real nose for sniffing out the latest special features on upcoming DVD and Blu-Ray releases. His latest find is Universal Home Entertainmnet's Devil, from M. Night Shyamalan. This release will have over a dozen extras and the highlights include: deleted scenes, a video titled "Devil's Meeting," and an in-depth reel on M. Night Shyamalan's goals for The Night Chronicles. A full list of features for the release is below and the Blu-Ray will host more additions than the DVD. This title releases on DVD and Blu-Ray December 28th.

This film has received some praise and by other film critics a dismissal: the mix [of themes] is surprisingly sleepy, with the concept too profound to make much of a cinematic impression" (Efilm Critic). However, the film has grossed over $30 million to date, which is three times the film's budget. So obviously there is an audience for Shyamalan's films, but not a vocally positive one. More details inside.
