The Blu-Ray special features for Adam Green's (Frozen) Hatchet have been revealed. The Blu-Ray moves to stores September 7th and many of the extras on the DVD of the film will be carried over to the Blu-Ray disc. The Blu-Ray will be available on Dolby True HD 5.1 Surround Sound and Green will give his thoughts on the shoot along with star Kane Hodder (Dead Noon, Horror). Some other highlights included are a making of featurette entitled "The Making of Hatchet" and a short clip called "Guts and Gore," which will show off some of the special effects from the production. Dread Central's Johnny Butane has described the film as "a very well done slasher film." The synopsis for Hatchet here:
"A motley crew of tourists embark on a boat ride of the haunted Louisiana bayous where they learn the terrifying tale of local legend "Victor Crowley"; a horribly disfigured man who was tragically and accidentally killed with a hatchet by the hands of his own father. But when the boat sinks and the ghost story turns out to be real, the group tries desperately to escape the swamp with their lives...and all of their pieces" (IMDB).
