New York Under Rumble in Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York

Echo Bridge Entertainment is following up Absolute Zero with Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York June 1st on DVD. A trailer for the film shows an entire city consumed by ash, lava and debris as a geothermal experiment goes very, very wrong. Expect Costas Mandylor (Beowulf), the iconic, Canadian actor Michael Ironside (Terminator Salvation) and Alexandra Paul (Love Thy Neighbor) to star in this natural catastrophe styled thriller. The fun begins tomorrow, June 1st, for those with a taste for the fantastical and possibly even the bizarre.

A synopsis for Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York:

"A volcano beneath New York City seems unlikely…yet nothing else can explain the bizarre tremors and terrifying explosions wreaking havoc on the city. Tunnel digger Matt MacLachlan (Costas Mandylor) and his team of "Sandhogs" have witnessed lava seeping into the city's aqueduct system and know the unimaginable truth. A scientist's (Michael Ironside) secret, geo-thermal experiment has triggered the volcanic activity; and now Matt, his geologist ex-wife (Alexandra Paul), and a team of unlikely heroes have only a few sticks of dynamite and a prayer to rescue the city from volcanic apocalypse" (Echo).
