A Population Under Control in 2033

2033 has officially been announced as participating in the 2010's Sci-Fi London Film Festival. Web based science fiction news source Quiet Earth describes the cgi of 2033 as "the visual effects are plentiful and are seamlessly layered throughout the film" (Quiet). One of several trailers shown below envisions a futuristic world where the population is controlled by an authoritarian government. Those in the London area need to prep' for the festival as 2033 unloads on United Kingdom movie screens Saturday May 1st. More info' on the film below.

The plot line for 2033:

"In the future, the very lifeblood of old Mexico - religion and freedom of expression - are outlawed. In their place is a society ruled by a totalitarian military government that controls its people through an enhanced synthetic food. Pablo, the future equivalent of a yuppie, who enjoys designer drugs and hunting poor people, is being groomed to the next leader. When the charismatic head of a religious cult tells him his father is still alive but enslaved by the government, Pablo joins their rebellion to rescue him and bring down the industrial-military regime" (Sci-Fi London)"
