Survival of the Dead's Frightening New Look

Magnet Releasing will be putting Survival of the Dead out there beginning April 30th and have a look at the film's new look. Survival of the Dead will be available on VOD April 30th through various formats before moving to theatres in May 28th. Early reviews of this release have said very different things of SOTD. Horror movie promotion website Horror Movies has said: "the bad taste from Romero's latest film, for example comes from its basic flaws, its technical and tonal gaps and dips, its weird pacing, its uneven acting and incomprehensible plot" (Horror). That does not sound good. As well, from another review site, Film School Rejects: "George Romero has achieved something truly remarkable within the world of filmmaking as a whole" (Film). That sounds better. There seems to be a wide range of opinions on George A. Romero's latest film and fans will have to decide for themselves if this latest chapter in the Dead series is worth seeing this April.

The synopsis for Survival of the Dead:

"On an island off the coast of North America, local residents simultaneously fight a zombie epidemic while hoping for a cure to return their un-dead relatives back to their human state."
