The Haunting at the Beacon: A Symptom of Grief

A film known as The Beacon, or Haunting at the Beacon now has a trailer available. The Haunting at the Beacon stars Canadian, horror icon Michael Ironside (Starship Troopers), Teri Polo (The Hole), and David Rees Snell (Red State Blues). Character Bryn has recently lost her four year old child. Then Bryn sees a young boy in the elevator shaft, who has already died. Is she grieving, or seeing a messenger from the other world? Fans who like independent horror films will have to check this one out. Unfortunately, Sabbatical Pictures has not announced a release date. Expect this one to go straight to DVD, with a release date announcement coming shortly.

The synopsis for the Haunting at the Beacon here:

"Bryn, a thirty-something woman grieving over the loss of her 4-year-old son, along with her college professor and author husband, moves into the charming old Beacon Apartments. There, she begins to see a boy who died in a fall down the Beacon's elevator shaft while trying to escape his abusive father. With the help of an eccentric young professor, Bryn tries to save the boy's spirit" (Shock).
