Friday the 13th Breaks Box Office Horror Records: News


The guardian is breaking a story on "Friday the 13th," and the weekends box office results, which are in excess of $42 million. Breaking previous horror film records by a slim $3 million and beating out the original "Grudge," "Friday the 13th," looks to continue the films success with rumours of a sequel. Even with poor critic reviews the film seems to be unstoppable and is holding the number one spot in film grosses for the weekend overall (Guardian).

At Variety.com there is only the barest of details as New Line Cinema announces a "Friday the 13th," sequel. A possible 2009 release date is on the wire, yet the feature is without a title. From other sources, executive producers are imagining a possible reboot of the very successful film franchise, which is the source of eleven films. Check back as more details arise...(Variety).
